FOUND: SAUSAGE & COCK tail

Since my dad started running Sci-Arc (downtown LA), every time I get on the phone with him during the day, I can't help but picture beer & brats.   Strange you say?  Well, if you are familiar with WURSTKĂśCHE a sausage & brew pubbery located all but a block from my dad's desk, you would probably agree with my idea that he should extend it into their communal dining area.

I told him he should at least negotiate with the owners (apparently his new BFF's) to see if they would provide him with an honorary bar seat.

Fade Out: Lucy's fantasy

Now, since I don't live in downtown LA, and I pretty much fantasize about sausages once a day (woops, oh well), I thought I would put my new trusty Panini machine to work.  With some handy dandy HofBrau Brats purchased from TJ's, I decided that I should grab some Dijon and pair it with the only bread product I could find in the fridge- a tube of TJ's Biscuits ready-to-bake (no my blog, isn't sponsored by TJ's..  just yet)

Honestly, it failed to measure up with the the Duvel & Brat that I regularly order at the restaurant, not that I thought that it really could compete.

However I do want to give a shout out to my roommate;  the cocktail she con-cock-ted rocked my socks off!

Ready for it:

*Fresh Clementine Juice

*Fresh Lime Juice

*Vodka  (note: not TJ's brand)

*simple syrup

*splash of club soda

*ice

Shake

and

Stir with Metal Stirring Spoon/Straw  lifted from the Roger Room.

(Now people, no judgement, Please!: Listen, wouldn't you assume that when one spends $15 on a mojito, the metal stirring straw is a memento, as you have just spent $15 on just a cocktail!  No?  Ok, well that is the story I'm sticking with... and it would be lovely if you refrained from calling the waiter's attention if you see me at that bar with metal straws sticking out of my bag. I really would like four more to complete the set! )
