I am going full GLITZ! With these two young ladies as my mentor/guides. (If you didn't know, they win all the pageants, as seen on Toddlers & Tiaras (TLC) I have been watching their footage in my office and consulted with my coaches. I AM GOING TO WIN HALLOWEEN 2009! FOUND: HEAD DECOR

My Birthday Bow (headband) I purchased in London, has swiftly transitioned from special occasion wear to everyday wear- I am kind of obsessed. My head band ( a knock-off I saw of BENOIT MISSOLIN's version at Liberty)I bought in Camden Town from a sweet Japanese gal. As much as I love her version, I can't help but peruse BENOIT's site, picking out my wedding hat, I might want to pick out a guy first. Hmmm, but what if the hat disappears before I find him. What should come first, the hat or the man? Thoughts?

This website= Wall of Goodies that you can buy! Brilliant Idea! Brilliant! She shops the markets of London for treasures and then displays them for re-sell...

FOUND: DINNER BALL

Childhood Christmas Eve nights at the Rheinsteins consisted of charcoal black stockings with runs up to my thigh, antique flutes of sparkling apple cider, chocolate truffle stains on my monogramed smocked christmas dress... oh and CHRISTMAS BALLS. I am going to bring this trend back to this Christmas Eve when I am wearing my nude tights & mini low-cut velvet dress stained with caviar with my flute of Champers in hand. Amusing to think how these little traditions have changed over time.

FOUND: A SIDE OF CRAYONS

Thought these would be a nice little treat... but I am a bit concerned that my brain would be confused on whether I should eat them or not. I mean... doesn't it look like it would destroy your teeth with it's delicious little colored explosions. Probably best to avoid purchasing non-edible crayons. Mental Note: Must work on developing an edible crayon.

FOUND: ARCHIVAL DONUT PHOTO

While researching pageants for the new show I am working on... I found this in the Getty Images archives. Now, I am not one to do a pageant... EVER. Well, that was until I stumbled upon this photo. I mean, let's be honest- it won me over instantly. Imagine: A DONUT QUEEN. Talk about a dream! Imagine... free donuts for a year. Being past my prime for pageant entry- I am considering contacting Bob's Donuts (@ Farmer's Market) and offering up my Ambassadorship services for free. (obviously in exchange for donuts). Their coconut donuts... need I say more?

FOUND: TRUE LEMON =TRUE GENIUS

I have been waiting for this product all of my life. During my childhood, when my friends happily imbibed artificially flavored drinks that tasted of chemicals and fake sugar, my taste-buds rejected the Kool-Aid. The day has come where I can drink at the water-cooler with my peers & drink what they are drinking without the gag reflex.... TRUE LEMON. I thank you for your crystalized lemon particles that spruce up my water!

Ready for my bold comment: It is the BEST STORE in LA! It is a treasure chest of the unusual. Take these Horn Bracelets por ejemplo.... FOUND: PANTONE COLOR OF 2009

Fun Discovery: PANTONE(R) 14-0848 Mimosa, a warm, engaging and optimistic yellow, was the selected color of 2009. With all of the uncertainty and political change, optimism is paramount and come on now no other color expresses hope and reassurance more than yellow. Now I just need to find a fun wintery velvet mini dress in this shade!

FOUND: LOST & FOUND on WIKIPEDIA

lost and found (American English and Canadian English), lost property (British English), or lost articles (also Canadian English) is an office in a large public building or area where visitors can go to retrieve lost articles that may have been found by other visitors. Frequently found at museumsamusement parks and schools, a lost and found will typically be a clearly-marked box or room in a location near the main entrance.

Some lost and found offices will try to contact the owners of any lost items if there are any personal identifiers available. Practically all will either sell, give or throw away items after a certain period has passed to clear their storage.

History

The first lost and found office was organized in Paris in 1805. Napoleon ordered his prefect of police to establish it as a central place "to collect all objects found in the streets of Paris", according to Jean-Michel Ingrandt, who was appointed the office's director in 2001.[1] However, it was not until 1893 that Louis Lépine, then prefect of police, organized efforts to actively track down the owners of lost items.[1]

[edit]Organization

Lost and found offices at large organizations can handle a large and varied collection of articles. Transport for London's lost property offices (which handle items lost on the city's Tubebuses and taxis) handles over 130,000 items a year, including 24,000 bags and 10,000 mobile phones. Among the more peculiar items that have been handed in include a wedding dress, ashes in an urn, a longcase clock, a kitchen sink, and several wheelchairs.[2]

Other large organizations may lack a central lost and found office but have several offices attached to different administrative units. This is the case, for instance, at the University of Illinois, where different campus units have both distinct offices and different unofficial retention and resolution policies (rules for how long to keep items and what to do with them once that period has expired). In addition to such distributed offices, a cross-unit office might also exist; again referring to the University of Illinois, this cross-functional unit rests in the Campus Police (Division of Public Safety).[3]

[edit]Literary

"Lost and found" can be a metaphor for a lost purpose or life, as in The Refreshment's "Interstate": "Out there in the trailer park, there's a million souls in the lost and found".

FOUND: WINTER WEDDING WEAR

Ummm. can we say perfection. wrapped perfection... perfectly wrapping my D cup into a C cup. Divine!  Looks like a I found a winner, too bad Gossip Girl just featured it and it can not be found anymore online.  WAY TO RUN MY LIFE GOSSIP GIRL  XO XO

FOUND: CHEAP & CHIC CANVAS

After my absurd outburst in Liberty (see below), I calmed myself with a small dose of retail therapy.... pretty much the cheapest thing I could find in the store.

FOUND: MULBERRY MITZY MESSENGER

It's a Mulberry Mitzy Messenger... how bout that for an alliteration.   I discovered this bag whilst lusting in Liberty (only my most favoritest store in the universitude) declaring to any 'noxious SLOANE RANGER that would lend me an ear,  "Seriously Katie, Mulberry is so irrelevant it should really cease to exist".  Ate my words when I saw this bag on display.  Oh mul..Baby, I was so wrong to say such hurtful things.

FOUND: my side of POLITICS PLAIN and simple

FOUND: TJ'S BEST PRODUCT OF THE WEEK!

Surprise your friends with a cheese they haven't bought yet from TJ's.  I mean, we are all pretty tired of eating CAMBOZOLA... onto the GOUDA... because it is so GOOODA!  * Just say you got it from the cheese section at Whole Paycheck, no one will ever know.

FOUND: SWEAT-FREE CUP (shhh... I bought it at Starbucks)

"It's  True, I confess:  I can't live without Starbucks....their Insulated Cup that is... "
My hairdresser at Rudy's first brought it to my attention. I coveted it from afar and after I called every Starbucks in the So Cal area to no avail... and refusing to bid on it on EBAY for twice its sticker price, I took up her advice.  "Look for it in Istanbul!"  Hate to admit: BEST PURCHASE ON MY VACATION TO EUROPE.  *shameful
PLEASE NOTE: Avoid asking to fill Starbucks products in Coffee Bean... it really pisses them off. Thank God my Coffee Beaners understand the importance of SAVING THE ENVIRONMENT.   As for the Coffee Beaners who sneer at me- "F*** off, get corporate to make a plastic logoed insulated cup for CB and I will make the change... for now... FILL'ER UP !"

FOUND: A HANDY TOOL... literally!

This handy tool I discovered today when I was "productively" looking for my polish "of the month".  (another of the month worthy item:  TJ's - Old Amsterdam Dutch Gouda).  Back to the hand that is in your face-  So this tool allows one to create a hand matching your own hand's nail length & skin color... now if they could only alter the knuckle size or knuckle hair length- we would have a tool worthy of using.  My poor "Tranny- Man hands" are feeling insecure and under-represented in the fashion world.
