FOUND: Diplo down and dirty

One of my favorite highlights after the obvious karaoke cab we took across town, we the Diplo concert at the power station. The perfect venue space!!

The corona light sponsored open bar made dancing all night, just that much easier.

FOUND: Stubbs bbq

Had some ole fashioned BBQ in the heart of Austin at Stubbs. It kick started what is to be a BBQ filled week. I probably will be finding out very soon if there is such a thing as too much BBQ.

FOUND: pepsimax foursquare party

I don't drink pepsi and I obviously have no interest in pepsimax... Until they threw a fabulous outdoor party in close proximity to the convention center. Tecates a plenty and an open game of foursquare. Yes please. I especially appreciated the free T I got from playing!

FOUND: driskill hotel

I have spent the larger part of my time in austin at the Driskill hotel, it's the beverly hills hotel of Austin. It's the calm of the chaos that holds the elite. The charm oozes from this place.

Basically, it's psychedelic, it's cellular, it amoebombastic!!

FOUND: chinese new year- sf

I forgot to post this a month ago, when I stumbled into chinatown. Just wanted everyone to know SF has the weirdest Chinese new year. Officially.

The streets were packed in, yes there were many a loogey hocked.

I adore the mini citrus trees for sale.

Random hamster spotting, with his handler/agent.

Gorgeous orchids for sale....

Happy I got to experience it... Wished there were food stands that served something other than hot dogs and cotton candy.

FOUND: Son of a Gun

Mom took Katie and I out for a feast at the new restaurant in our hood - son of a gun-

Decor- stellar, reminds me of my voyage on the Mimi

Music- yacht rock, very appropriate

Service- pretty solid, though my mom waited 20 mins for her wine

Mai tais- bonus it's on a menu, shame it's mediocre

Food- order fried chicken sandwich! Best in town! Avoid lobster roll, meh for a thumb-sized sandy. Shrimp toast- loved it, but the review I read online that stated it was too oily, was just that. Citrus salad- wow pricey, small, and boring and honestly barely remember it

Beer menu- no lagers, one pils, no heffe.... Really?? Big mistake, big!

Cost- damage was pretty deep, thanks for the treat mom. Truthfully, probably only going back when I'm craving that $11 chicken sandwich. Which might just be tonight.

FOUND: Let's be Frank, Frank

After a double header: cha cha lounge/the red lion , let's be frank.... YOU HAVE TO... Get a dog at Let's Be Frank.

$5 well spent for an organic MUFF Dog. Loaded with the fixins. Grilled onions, craut, and relish. Ahhh

Steph and I met a particularly interesting character stumbling out of Silverlake Wine shop who insisted on guessing her jean size. Love dem late night encounters with randos.

FOUND: from Lukshon with love

Had to hit the new Sang Yoon getup. Obviously it was a struggle to walk beyond the Fathers Office doorway to get to the polished glass entryway of this new eatery.

We were seated at the tail of the bar, which provided us with ample entertainment.

Here's the breakdown:
Service- perfection
Food-
*spicy chicken pops- great texture, too spicy, too fatty
*ribs- best thing ever!
*curry noodles- big pass, terrible, too much curry, not enough dimension, very dissappointed
* black rice, once you go black.... It's that good
*dessert- free, need I say more?

We ordered one beer each and the total was $48/ head

Hmmm a B-

Sadly, wanted to love love love it... But only found it meh meh meh.

Hi ho hi ho... Back to Fathers Office I go..

FOUND: kyo chon

Apparently I have missed out on the sensation that is kyo chon chicken.

After a beer at HMS, it was only natural that while I was driving home through Ktown I would test drive a strip mall eatery.

Usually the brightest and most illuminated I avoid, however this one was more inviting than most.... Could it be the sign that reads: we use only all natural chicken.

They had me at BiBimBap rice ball!

The biggest bonus is the fact that delivery is free.... Watch out Benitos, looks like you have some competition on your hands.
