Remember back in the day... TBS had the show "dinner and a movie", where two failed comedians cooked terrible dishes during commercial breaks of a movie.

Well for some reason, I loved that show. And decided to form a movie and supper club based on that theme.

The menu consisted of lasagna and I went all out and even make the sauce.

A friend of my mom's, Dragan, was featured in Los Angeles magazine and he makes the most amazing mens suede oxford shoes in pastel colors... I'm wondering if he would be able to make a woman's size 7... I've been jonesin' for a pair.

FOUND: GOOD magazine event

Katie, Dad and I went to a local Good Magazine event that was held in Atwater this Saturday... It was a family affair.


We started the day hiking the backside of Griffith, only encountering four people during the first 30 minutes of our hike... Ahhhh... Take that Runyon!

After the hike, we popped ourselves over the bridge to Atwater for some eats and marketplacing and entertainment.


Kenneth man-ed his Guerilla Gardening table. Apparently they were just featured on a Prius commercial, keep your eyes on the lookout!

I lovingly made an origami paper crane for Japan at a stand provided by the craft and folk art museum. I think it was kind in concept, but probably a bit more useful if I used a signed personal check instead of colored paper.just saying...

Went to Masa for joe's birthday on Saturday night, deep dish Chicago pizza for a Chicago native.

I'm going back, I had to throw in the towel after a slice and a half.... Pathetic performance on my part. I'm a fighter, so I'm training my stomach for a two slice kind of night!

Damn that pizza was good, and here I was thinking I was a thin cruster for life. Childish thinking. I'm a both-er for life!

Went to the local butcher for some fine cuts of meat. Local, pastured and organic... Which basically means: healthy & happy meat.

Happy meat means happy Lucy.


I got two sausages and a 1/2 pound of the ground Bacon-beef blend. The priceys were spicys, but you get what you pay for. The sausages were made last night and the beef blended with their in-house grinder. Yes, please. Ok so $3/sausage is over what I typically pay for raw meat, but damn is it good!

I'll be back... For the cowgirl creamery...

Papa Bennett joined the hipsters of silverlake... bringing the prep of the west over to the east... Donning a uniform of a popped collar, a prep school hat, and a pair of Harvard Club squash shorts, the hipsters were confused with his fashion offerings this far East of Western.

He drank his expresso with his pinky finger carefully tucked in as onlookers wondered if they themselves could successfully pop a collar.

This is the kind of place my mom would introduce to me. Vegan, Raw, and organic are the names of this restaurant's game. In symbols Read: $,$,and $. Though this girl doesn't mind paying a premium for "fashion foods"

Is it as good as scoops, no. Was it refreshing despite the "dirty hipster scene", yes!

Apparently there are some amazing happy hours dedicated to the tourists on Hollywood blvd. I did a happy hour crawl with my friend shayne and she and I have determined we happily will ask as the tourists do and order off the happy hour menu!






















Eat your heart out Baja fresh, this steak burrito was $5.

Happily a native tourist for prices this low!
